Popmoney®

Take advantage of an even easier way to pay. This personal payment service allows you to send, receive, or request money from just about anyone with an email address or mobile phone number. You can also use their account number to pay money directly into their account. Popmoney® can be accessed through Online Banking.

Use Popmoney® to:
  • Send a monetary gift to family and friends
  • Collect rent from tenants or roommates
  • Pay your dog walker or lawn care service
  • Send money to your child at college
  • Pay back friends for a fun outing - like a dinner or concert

Mobile Banking

When life keeps you on-the-move, you never have to worry about leaving us behind. Account information and financial tools will always be within reach when you download our FREE mobile app to your Apple® or Android™ device. And, if your phone doesn't support the app, you can also access most functions through our mobile banking website.

SMS Mobile Banking

Account updates are just a text away! SMS (Short Message Service) Mobile Banking allows you to fetch your current account balances and recent account history by sending a text message to Maine Savings.

How To Enroll

Log into Mobile Banking (option 1 at m.mainesavings.com) and then select “SMS Settings” (option 7) and follow the directions.

Using SMS Mobile Banking

Once your mobile phone is enrolled, you may send text messages to 86020 with the following commands:

  • B to fetch all account balances
  • H to fetch the five most recent transactions for all accounts
  • H acct to fetch the five most recent transactions for a specific account (e.g. H S01)
  • HELP to fetch list of available command options
  • STOP to deactivate SMS mobile banking

The commands are not case sensitive. For example, you can use ‘b’ as well as ‘B’ to fetch balances.

Troubleshooting

Error 15500: Could not access your account due to a password issue. This error message means your account could not be accessed to answer your SMS request. If you HAVE NOT recently changed your online banking password, please contact Maine Savings at 800.273.6700. If you HAVE recently changed your online banking password, please log into the Mobile Web site (m.mainesavings.com) with your new password to re-enable SMS mobile banking.

Error 15502: Could not access account due to USERPASS LOCKOUT. If you receive this error message, it means your Maine Savings account has been disabled after too many invalid access attempts. Please contact Maine Savings at 800.273.6700 to unlock your account.
